I can describe Macross in 2 words: Deculture and Music. Honestly have you ever found any anime with better music than Macross? I think it's clear enough. Just think about songs like Diamond Crevasse, Aimo or Northern Cross (or even the bg music) and you can clearly understand what I mean. Music is a vital ingredient of Frontier success and a major point of the plot, since it's music the only key to reach an utopic peace all over the universe. And music is even a weapon, the most powerful one.
